Forestry Services

Our company specializes in comprehensive forestry services and timber harvesting across a wide range of forest types and conditions. Thanks to our extensive experience and skilled team, we are able to efficiently handle even demanding environments and specific requirements in forest operations.

  • Thinning in coniferous and deciduous forests: Thinning is an essential part of proper forest management. We carry out thinning operations in both coniferous and deciduous stands to support healthy tree growth, improve resilience, and optimize light conditions. This selective harvesting method helps maintain forests in a vital and productive state.
  • Bark beetle salvage logging: As part of our services, we also carry out harvesting of bark beetle-affected timber. With a fast response, strong technical background, and experienced team, we help minimize damage and contribute to the restoration of healthy forests, always with respect for the environment.
  • Windblow harvesting: We have the expertise and equipment to operate in areas affected by wind damage. Windblow requires a specific approach and maximum caution – our team is trained to safely and efficiently handle hazardous, tangled timber.
  • Motor-manual harvesting: For hard-to-access or sensitive terrain, we offer motor-manual timber harvesting. Our professionals use modern chainsaws and equipment, ensuring safe operations with minimal environmental impact.
  • Harvesting near roads and public infrastructure: We also perform timber harvesting near roads and public infrastructure, where strict safety measures are required. Our teams are trained to follow procedures that ensure both operational and public safety.

Our forestry services are built on the principles of sustainability, quality, and respect for the forest ecosystem. We believe that a professional approach to timber harvesting helps protect and develop forests for future generations.

The T-WINCH traction winch is a versatile external device that can be used wherever unassisted machine movement poses a high risk to both operators and equipment. It is primarily designed to enhance operator safety while minimizing soil impact. It is ideally suited for demanding conditions such as steep or hard-to-access terrain, where it enables safer and more efficient operation of harvesters and forwarders. By using the T-WINCH traction winch, overall safety is improved and soil damage is significantly reduced, as machines are not required to generate excessive traction on their own.

Timber harvesting with a traction winch is an efficient method for operating in challenging terrain such as steep slopes or wetlands. The process begins with positioning the winch on a stable location. The harvester or forwarder is then secured with the winch cable and gradually lowered down the slope. The traction winch is equipped with a cable length of up to 500 meters. Once the harvesting line has been fully processed, the machine is pulled back up the slope using the winch.
This method minimizes soil damage and significantly improves operational safety.

TRIOMAX operates two harvesters, three forwarders, and four traction winches:

  • Komatsu 931XC harvester
  • John Deere 1470D ECO III harvester
  • 2× Komatsu 875 forwarders
  • Timberjack 1410D forwarder
  • 2× T-Winch 10.2 traction winches
  • 2× T-Winch 10.3 traction winches

TRIOMAX specializes in timber harvesting using traction winches, enabling efficient operations in steep terrain. Our expertise covers a wide range of harvesting methods, including thinning in both coniferous and deciduous forests, handling bark beetle outbreaks, and harvesting in challenging conditions following natural disturbances such as windblow. We also provide motor-manual harvesting and carry out specialized operations near roads and public infrastructure.

TRIOMAX specializes in forestry operations in the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, and Ireland.
Our key clients include well-established institutions such as ThüringenForst, SachsenForst, Bayerische Staatsforsten, Österreichische Bundesforste AG, Coillte, Lesy České republiky, as well as a number of smaller private forestry companies.
